Solar Gard® Clear Safety and Anti-Graffiti films up to 11 mil and Solar Safety films up to 8 mil

This EPD describes the environmental impact of 1 m² of installed of Solar Gard clear safety and anti-graffiti films up to 11 mil and Solar safety films up to 8 mil. The product warranty for the clear safety and solar safety films is 12 years and for the anti-graffiti films the warranty period is 5 years. Warranty is subject to conditions. This EPD covers 5 solar safety films (for internal use), 2 clear safety films (for internal use) and 1 anti-graffiti film. The reference product for the group of products covered in this EPD is Solar Gard AC 8 mil Silver 20. 

A C 8 mil Silver 20 has a total solar energy rejection (TSER) of 81% on single glass and 70% on an insulated glass unit (IGU) consisting of 2 standard clear panes. The Infrared Energy rejected (IRER) is 84% on single clear glass.

Impact resistance (safety films only) according to EN 12600 is 1B1 (AC 7 mil and above) and 2B2 (AC 4 mil). Certain explosion resistance testing has been carried out according ISO 16933, ASTM or GSA test protocols INERIS test protocol (industrial explosions) for the safety films 7 mil and above.  

All products meet Class A+ (Volatile Organic Compounds – VOC) tested according to EN ISO 16000 2,3 (2011) and 5,6 (2012) and meet 13238B-s1, d0 (Reaction to fire - European Construction Products Directive/EN SBI 13238).
