Mutual/ Multilateral Recognition Agreements

EPD International AB is proud about the several Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) we have in place with our respected peer EPD programme operators.

EPD International has Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRA) with peer EPD programme operators in place.

Whereas the MoU can be considered an initial step (commitment) to explore the opportunities for a future collaboration between partners, under a Mutual Recognition Agreement the partners agree to recognize one another's conformity assessment results (i.e. the EPD and/or PCRs). EPD International has mutual recognitions governing both EPD, and EPD and PCR conformities. Conformity on PCRs allows a partnering EPD programme operator to adopt its peer's PCR(s) into its own EPD programme.

Please note that MRAs are adopted to increase harmonization, comparability and acceptance of EPDs on a global scale. Despite these efforts we want to make you aware of the fact that EPDs that stem from different EPD programmes (with/ without an MRA in place) may still not be fully comparable.
