Atlas HPE foams are rigid core materials based on a unique and proprietary formulation characterized by a closed and very fine cellular structure. 

Combining a high cross-linking degree due to its thermoset nature with high toughness and flexibility, Atlas HPE 110 is a new solution in sandwich composites where balsa, PVC or PET have been commonly used for several years.

Altlas HPE 110 meets all the technical and industrial requirements for structural application in wind turbine blades and in fact Atlas HPE 110 has been approved as core material for Wind Blades according to the Guidelines for the Design and the Certification of Wind Turbines.

Since 2017 Atlas HPE 110 has been seeing a rise in its use as core material for sandwich composites in wind blade structural elements by leading international wind blade manufactures.
