The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is an independent, non-profit research organization dedicated to advancing sustainable development through research, innovation, policy advocacy, and capacity building.

Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) Council, recognized as the ‘National Rating System for Green Buildings in India’, was conceptualised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and endorsed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India (GoI).
The GRIHA Council issues GRIHA Rating Certifications for both new buildings & retrofitted projects and oversees all activities associated with the certification process. The Government of India (GoI) has recognized "GRIHA Council" as an effective tool for assessing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reductions from habitats, aligning with India’s commitments to climate change mitigation as outlined in its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

LeadIT is a global high-level initiative aimed at achieving net-zero emissions from heavy industry sectors such as steel, cement, and transport by 2050.
Established in 2019, under the leadership of India and Sweden, it was the first high-level initiative to unite governments and companies committed to heavy industry decarbonization. It provides a platform for public-private collaboration, helping industries align with the Paris Agreement and accelerate a just and equitable transition
