Guidance on EPD Development During the Transition to PCR 2019:14 Version 2.0.0
As PCR 2019:14 version 1.3.4 will officially be phased out on 20 June 2025, the Secretariat of the International EPD System provides important guidance on EPD development, focusing on publication timeline.
With the expiry date of PCR 2019:14 version 1.3.4 approaching on 20 June 2025, the Secretariat of the International EPD System hereby provides guidance on EPD development to support our clients during this transition period.
Temporary Extension of Publication Timeframe
Due to a surge in EPD publication requests ahead of the transition to PCR 2019:14 version 2.0.0, the Secretariat is temporarily extending the standard publication timeline from 1–3 days to up to 10 working days, effective immediately and continuing at least through August 2025.
This adjustment ensures that quality and consistency in EPDs are upheld while accommodating increased demand. The Secretariat of IES remains committed to attending to all EPD publication requests as efficiently as possible within this extended timeframe.
For EPDs, based on PCR 2019:14 version 1.3.4 that expires on 20 June 2025, the temporary extension should not affect their publication, provided that the verification has been performed and approved by an individual verifier or an accredited certification body by the expiry date.
