PCR description
This PCR is currently being developed and it will replace PCR
The development of this PCR was initiated 2025-10-09. The open consultation, planned to start in Q4 2025, will start with an e-mail invitation to identified stakeholders. Any stakeholder is welcome to provide comments on the draft PCR.
The publication is expected in Q1/Q2 2026.
Dates are preliminary and subject to change.

This document provides Product Category Rules (PCR) for the assessment of the environmental performance of cleaning products, tools and chemicals (with the exclusion of motorized machinery and equipment) and the declaration of this performance by an EPD. The product category corresponds to:
UN CPC 27190 - Other made-up textile articles (including floor-cloths, dish-cloths, dusters and similar cleaning cloths, life-jackets and life-belts).
UN CPC 8993 - Brooms, brushes, hand-operated mechanical floor sweepers (not motorised), mops and feather dusters; prepared knots and tufts for broom or brush making; paint pads and rollers; squeegees (other than roller squeegees).
UN CPC 35322 - Detergents and washing preparations.
