Open consultation of the draft took place from 2025-04-01 until 2025-06-16. Now the PCR is being updated based on the open consultation comments received.

The development of this PCR was initiated on 2024-08-08. Open consultation is expected on end of April 2025 and publication is expected in Q3/Q4 2025. Note that dates are preliminary and may subject to change.

This document will provide Product Category Rules (PCR) for the assessment of the environmental performance of lubricants and lubricating grease fluid and the declaration of this performance by an EPD.

The product category correspond to

• UN CPC 3338 Lubricants and
• UN CPC 3543 Lubricating preparations and preparations of a kind used for the oil or grease treatment of materials, except of petroleum; prepared additives for mineral oils; prepared liquids for hydraulic transmission, except of petroleum; anti-freezing preparations and prepared de-icing fluids
