This is not a standalone Product Category Rules (PCR) but a complementary PCR (c-PCR) for PCR 2019:14 Construction products. The c-PCR shall be used for the applicable product category.
The c-PCR shall be used for the assessment of the environmental performance of prefabricated buildings intended as toilets, showers, changing rooms and other special-purpose transportable units. The scope includes transportable prefabricated buildings, either unassembled or fully assembled, and ready to use. The buildings can be designed for use as toilets, showers, changing rooms or other special-purpose transportable units and can be made of different materials.
The scope corresponds to a subset of the scope of PCR 2013:01 Prefabricated buildings. Being a c-PCR to PCR 2019:14, the c-PCR will comply with EN 15804:A2, whereas PCR 2013:01 is compliant with EN 15804:A1. Both PCRs were be valid in parallell until the expiration of PCR 2013:01 in July 2022. The part of the scope of PCR 2013:01 not covered by this new c-PCR will be covered by a c-PCR on buildings, whose development process is ongoing.
As an example, products such as mobile non-sewer-connected toilet cabins (as defined by EN 16194:2012) fall within the scope of this c-PCR.
