This PCR is currently on open consultation from 2025-07-17 until 2025-09-17 The draft PCR is available for download below. Any stakeholder is welcome to provide comments on the draft PCR, using the template available for download below. Comments shall be sent to the PCR Moderator.

This PCR is being updated, with expected publication date in Q4 2025. Among others, the updated PCR will align with General Programme Instruction (GPI) version 5.0.0, published June 2024.

All dates are preliminary and subject to change.

The validity period of the present version of the PCR (Version 1.0.X) was extended with 1 year upon initiation of the PCR updating process, and 2025-01-22 a second time with another 6 months due to a delay in the updating process.

This document provides Product Category Rules (PCR) for the assessment of the environmental performance of Liquid immersed power transformers (>25 MVA), and the declaration of this performance by an EPD. The product category corresponds to a subset of UN CPC 46121 “Electrical transformers".
