PCR description
This PCR is currently on Open consultation from 2026-03-05 until 2026-05-05. Any stakeholder is welcome to provide comments to the current draft using the comments template available. You can send you comments to the PCR Moderator before the deadline.
The validity period of this PCR (version 2.0.4) was extended from 2025-12-04 to 2026-06-04 due to the initiation of an updating process.
Publication is expected to be in Q3/Q4 2026.
The new version of the PCR is expected to be published in 2026.

This document provides Product Category Rules (PCR) for the assessment of the environmental performance of Public and private passenger bus and coaches and the declaration of this performance by an EPD. The corresponding UN CPC codes are the sub-classes:
- UN CPC sub-class 49112 (Public-transport type passenger motor vehicles) and
- UN CPC sub-class 49113 (Motor cars and other motor vehicles principally designed for the transport of persons (except public-transport type vehicles, vehicles specially designed for travelling on snow, and golf cars and similar vehicles)).
