AquaEdge® 19XR/XRV Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chiller
The Carrier 19XR/19XRV Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers deliver exceptional performance with a COP up to 6.5 (0.5822 kW/ton) and an IPLV up to 11.17 (0.3148 kW/ton) under AHRI conditions. These chillers achieve up to 6.8 EER utilizing Opteon™ XP10 (R-513A), a non-ozone depleting refrigerant, and are also compatible with Solstice® N15 (HFO-515B), a nonflammable azeotropic blend. The interstage economizer enhances efficiency and capacity, while the hermetic compressor features a dual-stage aerodynamic impeller and vane-less diffuser for stable high-lift applications. The motor is cooled by liquid refrigerant spray, and the 19XRV model includes a variable frequency drive for optimal energy efficiency. These chillers incorporate high-efficiency evaporator and condenser tubes, an integrated expansion sub-cooler, and patented float valve technology for optimized sub-cooling and refrigerant levels. These features, combined with modularity and economical operation, make the 19XR/19XRV ideal for high-capacity applications such as air-conditioning, heat-pump, energy recovery, ice thermal storage, marine, VFD, and high-voltage uses.
The AquaEdge® 19XR/XRV Water-Cooled Centrifugal Chillers, featuring Greenspeed® Intelligence, are available in capacities ranging from 300 to 3400 tons, offering versatility for a wide range of applications. These chillers incorporate advanced technologies such as hydrodynamic journal bearings, a two-stage compressor, a semi-hermetic motor, and the SmartView™ control system. The 1400-ton model has been evaluated for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
