Aluminium & Window Systems

Altus is an award winning and leading New Zealand designer, manufacturer and exporter of aluminium extrusions and extrusion-based building systems. ALTUS also imports and distributes rolled and specialty extruded products for markets in New Zealand and overseas.

Altus was formed in 2016 as a joint venture between Fletcher Aluminium and NALCO with the aim of bringing to the industry new benefits of scale, leading edge technologies and product knowledge.

This EPD covers residential and commercial window and door products manufactured and fabricated by Altus and their franchised window and door fabricators. This is a ‘cradle-to-gate’ type EPD with Modules C1–C4 and Module D added.

• Residential suites are used residentially & normally for buildings up to 10 meters high. Frames would typically have a flange and a timber liner. A range of suites gives the ability to mix cost with product and glass performance.

• Commercial Suites range from Flush glaze and structurally glazed systems to smaller seismic window systems. Traditionally cater to taller buildings and incorporate a level of Seismic movement. These are larger sections that can span greater heights and accommodate larger and wider glass units.

• Both systems could be supplied Thermally broken or non- thermally broken and Aluminium being the dominant material, are fully recyclable. Thermally broken joinery offers reduced energy costs to maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, while reducing condensation and therefore buildup of mould etc. This leads to a healthier living environment.
