Solar Gard® Solar Safety Films up to 10 mil and Clear safety films up to 14 mil

This EPD describes the environmental impact of 1 m² of installed Solar Gard solar safety films up 10 mil and clear safety films up to 14 mil. These products have a warranty period of 12 years. Warranty is subject to conditions. Up to date information can be found on www.solargard.eu. The expected average service life longer provided when the specified conditions for installation, use and maintenance are followed.

In total this EPD covers 5 solar safety film 10 mil and 1 clear safety film of 14 mil. The films are intended for internal application. The reference product for the group of products covered in this EPD is Solar Gard AC 10 mil Silver 20.

Solar Gard AC 10 mil Silver 20 has a total solar energy rejection (TSER) of 79% on single glass and 69% on an insulated glass unit (IGU) consisting of 2 standard clear panes. The Infrared Energy rejected (IRER) is 83% on single clear glass. 

Explosion resistance has been tested according to ISO 16933, ASTM or GSA as well as INERIS test protocol (industrial explosion) for certain products.

All products meet Class A+ (Volatile Organic Compounds – VOC) tested according to EN ISO 16000 2,3 (2011) and 5,6 (2012) and meet 13238B-s1, d0 (Reaction to fire - European Construction Products Directive/EN SBI 13238).
