IPP MF6-10

Sumpol IPP MF 6-10 (=S1040) is an Isotactic Polypropylene blend for the modification of APP-bitumen mixtures in roofing felt with the specific features of improving the high temperature resistance and increasing the viscosity of the coating mass. Improvements made by adding this grade to the bitumen includes:

• increasing the hardness (lowering of the penetration at low and high temperature)

• increasing the softening point

• increasing the heat resistance due to the combined effects of increasing crystallinity and viscosity of the bitumen mass

• can easily be combined with other polymers to meet the desired properties of the roofing felt
