Average Troffer Luminaire

A troffer luminaire is a rectangular or square lighting fixture typically recessed into a ceiling grid system, designed to provide uniform, diffused light in indoor spaces. Commonly used in offices, schools, and other commercial environments, troffer luminaires fit seamlessly into suspended ceilings to deliver efficient and comfortable illumination across large areas. The luminaire is made of a structure (commonly referred to as “housing” or body of the luminaire), control gear (includes equipment that determines power and light output levels, including what is commonly referred to as the “driver”) and light source (being the light emitting diode and electronics whether integrated or not, meaning removable or permanently attached to the housing). The lighting products are classified by the following CSI MasterFormat code: 26 51 00 Interior Lighting.
