Average Linear Luminaire
A linear luminaire is a type of lighting fixture characterized by its elongated, narrow shape, designed to distribute light evenly along its length. Often installed in suspended or surface-mounted configurations, linear luminaires are commonly used in commercial and industrial spaces to provide consistent, efficient illumination across larger areas. The luminaire is made of a structure (commonly referred to as “housing” or body of the luminaire), control gear (includes equipment that determines power and light output levels, including what is commonly referred to as the “driver”) and light source (being the light emitting diode and electronics whether integrated or not, meaning removable or permanently attached to the housing). The lighting products are classified by the following CSI MasterFormat code: 26 51 00 Interior Lighting.
