Thermally modified (thermo-D) solid soft wood (Scots pine)

Thermally modified timber is essentially natural wood, processed with heat (212°C), steam and water in specifically adjusted and controlled heating cycles. Being entirely ecological and free of any chemicals, the treatment process irreversibly modifies physical and chemical properties of timber resulting in extremely durable and exceptionally sustainable material, friendly to both humans and nature. The product is assigned to DC 2 (durability class 2 “durable”) according to specifications of EN 350:2016. The modification also improves its dimensional stability and thermal insulation qualities. Brolis Timber UAB is certified according to PEFC Chain of Custody systems. The moisture content of product is between 4-7%.
