Stoneglass B-Evo - Patrix

Stoneglass B-Evo - Patrix is a flexible facing for rigid PU panels, consisting of a nonwoven glass veil substrate coated with a fire-retardant mineral coating. It is designed for insulation sector applications, contributing to the improvement of fire reaction performance of the systems in which it is incorporated. The mineral coating is obtained from a water-based formulation composed of binders, inorganic fillers, and functional additives, carefully mixed to ensure uniformity, stability, and consistent technical performance. The formulation also includes expandable graphite, which provides intumescent properties and enhances the fire resistance characteristics of the product.

The manufacturing process involves the continuous application of the mineral coating onto the glass veil substrate, followed by a drying phase in a thermal oil oven and subsequent winding into rolls. Raw materials are mixed at room temperature and kept under controlled agitation until use, ensuring consistent quality and homogeneity of the finished product. The material is supplied in jumbo rolls, wound on cardboard cores and packaged on pallets with appropriate protection and identification systems.

Thanks to its composition and structure, the product achieves a fire reaction classification of B-s1-d0 according to EN 13501-1, indicating limited contribution to fire, low smoke emission and no flaming droplets. Due to these properties, Stoneglass B-Evo - Patrix also supports the insulated panel in achieving the same fire classification, providing protection the PU foam against flame exposure and heat.
