6HI Cold Rolling Mill 1250MM@1100MPM

The 6 HI Single Stand Reversing Mill offered is designed to meet customer production needs in both quantity and quality.

The equipment is optimized for high quality, maximum yield, minimal operating costs, and operator-friendliness. A key advantage is the easy accessibility of all components, which supports preventive and breakdown maintenance. Significant focus has also been placed on minimizing civil foundation costs.

The mill stand is fitted with bottom-mounted Roll Force Hydraulic AGC Cylinders, integrated with high-resolution internal position transducers. These work in conjunction with the AGC system to minimize thickness deviation. Automatic pass line adjustment is facilitated through hydraulic-actuated taper and stepped wedges at the top of the mill window. These wedges are integrated with the mill PLC, utilizing high-resolution position encoders and proximity switches to enable automatic pass line adjustment once roll diameter data is entered into the mill HMI.

The mill features both positive and negative bending of work rolls and shifting of intermediate rolls, which are key actuators for controlling strip flatness. Mae-West blocks are incorporated in the mill housing to accommodate positive and negative bending, as well as back-up roll balancing cylinders.

A Quick Work Roll Change trolley is provided to minimize downtime during roll changes. Micro fog machine lubrication or Air-Oil lubrication of modular design is used for the Back-Up Roll, Intermediate Roll, and Work Roll bearings.

The Hydraulic expandable tension reels are robust and incorporate a solid pyramid mandrel shaft. Each mandrel segment includes a mechanical wedge strip gripping system actuated by a single hydraulic cylinder placed outside the strip line. The reel gearboxes utilize double helical gears to ensure reliable, maintenance-free operation for decades. The mill is powered by the latest generation AC Drives using IGBT active supply units, which ensure low harmonic distortion and a unity power factor. No additional power factor correction system is needed.
