Plasticizing admixture for concrete

Concrete admixtures are chemical products added to concrete during batching or mixing to modify the properties of fresh and hardened concrete. CasTech’s concrete admixture portfolio includes superplasticizers, retarders, accelerators, air-entraining agents, viscosity-modifying agents, corrosion inhibitors, waterproofing additives, shrinkage-compensating agents, micro-silica additives, nanotechnology-based products, and reinforcing fibers. 

These products are typically based on polycarboxylate ether (PCE), organic and inorganic chemical compounds, and polymer-based materials. They are supplied mainly in liquid form and are dosed in small quantities relative to cement content.

Intended use:

Concrete admixtures are used in ready-mix concrete, precast concrete, and on-site concrete production to improve workability, control setting time, enhance strength development, increase durability, reduce water demand, and improve resistance to water ingress and chemical attack.
