Drawing line for copper wires
The drawing line for copper wires is made up of 4 different machines plus the electrical cabinet:
- the pay-off (SVM17);
- the rod breakdown machine, identified by the code TS45, as the main equipment;
- the annealer (AF50);
- the coiler (VSC82);
- the electric control cabinet.
The pay-off is used to unwind the copper rod from the supplied coils.
The rod breakdown machine allows the wire to be processed to progressively reduce its diameter with consequent increase of length, through the gradual section reduction, as a result of the wire pulled from drawing dies, by dedicated capstans.
The annealer allows the annealing of the processed copper wire to improve its electrical and mechanical qualities; it uses the Joule effect to heat the copper wire, which is then cooled in coolant and dried by compressed air.
The coiler collects the finished wire into basket.
To end the electrical cabinet is the part of the line dedicated to control all the machines mentioned.
