Hot rolled austenitic stainless steel
Austenitic steel is characterized by its face-centered cubic crystal structure, which is stabilized by alloying elements such as nickel, manganese, and nitrogen.
Austenitic steel is highly resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for use in environments that may cause rust or degradation, such as chemical processing and food handling. It exhibits excellent ductility and toughness, allowing it to be easily formed and welded without losing its structural integrity. Unlike other types of stainless steel, austenitic steel is non-magnetic, which is beneficial in applications where magnetic interference is a concern.
