Hot-rolled Wire Rod

Hot-rolled wire rod production is concentrated at Longteng High-Speed Wire Rod Mill No. 1 and No. 2 (Manufacturer Changshu Longteng Special Steel Co.,Ltd.), with a combined annual capacity of approximately 1.6 million tons of wire rod. The facilities are equipped with two regenerative walking-beam furnaces for air-gas dual-fuel heating. Mill No. 1 includes six 580 rolling mills, four 480 rolling mills, and four 380 rolling mills. Mill No. 2 comprises six 650 roughing mills, two sets of four 550 intermediate rolling mills, two sets of six 450 intermediate rolling mills, two sets of four 300 pre-finishing mills, two finishing mill sets, two Stelmor controlled cooling lines with insulated tunnels, three bundling machines, and related auxiliary services.

The product range covers multiple steel grades including quality carbon steel, alloy steel, cold heading steel, welding steel, hot-rolled wire rod for prestressed concrete steel bars, and free-cutting steel , with round section dimensions ranging from Ø5.5-40 mm. The main steel grades for the hot‑rolled wire rod products include: ER50‑6S, 30MnSi, 30MnSi‑L, 30MnSi‑LW, 45, 45‑2, 10B21, 10B21‑L, 10B33, 1215MS, SCM435, SCM440, SCM420, SWRCH35K, SWRCH35K‑J/L/H/M, SWRCH38K, 20CrMnTi, 20Cr, 20CrMo, 20CrMoA, B7, B7‑S and other similar grades.

Main downstream sectors include hardware and tool manufacturing, fastener manufacturing, precision instrument component manufacturing, welding material production, and prestressed concrete reinforcement manufacturing.
