Webertherm ACUSTIC System

The Webertherm Acustic System is an External Thermal Insulation Composite System (ETICS) designed for façade applications, classified under EN 15804+A2:2019 and the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). It holds European Technical Assessment ETA 13/0836, based on EAD 040083-00-0404 for ETICS kits using mineral wool insulation and continuous coating.

Is based on webertherm mineral wool board, a rigid mineral wool insulation board with high density and excellent thermal and acoustic performance (thermal conductivity, λ = 0,035 W/m·K). It is a non-combustible insulation system that improves the acoustic insulation of the façade against airborne noise, while providing a solid base to be coated with any of the following proposals: Thin-layer mineral finish (webercal ESTUCO), Organic finish (webertene range) and Acustic Light finish (including weberprim FX15).

System Components and Application Details:

• Supply and application of webertherm mineral wool board rigid mineral wool insulation boards, installed horizontally in successive rows with staggered joints, adhered with webertherm base adhesive mortar. The mortar is applied either by perimeter bead and central dabs or by full-surface troweling, ensuring a minimum adhesion surface of 40%. Use as reference 120 mm. 

When applying the system over a wooden substrate, a primer coat of weberprim FX15 must be applied to the wood before installing the mineral wool.

• The insulation boards are mechanically fixed with webertherm espiga anchors of steel and plastic, minimum 6 fixings/m², reinforced in wind-exposed areas. If impact anchors are used, they must be complemented with webertherm arandela 140.

• The surface is reinforced with webertherm malla 160, an alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh with a mesh opening of 3,5 x 3,8 mm, 160 g/m², 0,52 mm thickness, and elongation resistance of 3,8 / 3,8, embedded between two layers of webertherm base mortar (2–3 mm per layer).
