GLASS XTREME BLACK

Glass Xtreme Black is produced using a glassfibre reinforcement coated with a bitumen compound and a special finishing, talc based. Silcart provides this product as a semi-finished article for its clients that use it as a facer in the production of insulation panels: it can be used both as top and bottom layer. In the panels production process, facings are necessary as they contain the expansion of the foam and give the final products specific characteristics, such as dimensional stability, mechanical resistance, reaction to fire, resistance to high temperature and hydrophobicity. 

The main features of this product are high dimensional stability, good resistance to high temperatures, porosity control during the production, high tensile strength, hydrophobicity, resistance to mould and insect attack, good walkability. Glass Xtreme Black is a multipurpose flexible bituminous facing: it can be fixed with multiple solutions: torch, hot liquid bitumen, mechanical, cold glue fixing.

Finally, this product is also certified as “Remade in Italy”, class C.
