Ownership and limitation on use of EPD
Limitations
EPDs within the same product category but published in different EPD programmes, may not be comparable. For two EPDs to be comparable, they shall be based on the same PCR (including the same first-digit version number) or be based on fully aligned PCRs or versions of PCRs; cover products with identical functions, technical performances and use (e.g. identical declared/functional units); have identical scope in terms of included life-cycle stages (unless the excluded life-cycle stage is demonstrated to be insignificant); apply identical impact assessment methods (including the same version of characterisation factors); and be valid at the time of comparison.
Ownership
The EPD Owner has the sole ownership, liability, and responsibility for the EPD.

|---|---|
| Product identification | 1320001 |
| Product description | HyDra FB membrane 3080 PLUS is a pre-applied high-density polyethylene (HDPE) waterproofing membrane. It consists of a thick HDPE film, pressure-sensitive adhesive and weather resistance granular layer. One long edge of the membrane has a reserved 80-mm wide self-adhesive overlap or a 100mm wide welding strip, used for watertight lap joint construction. |
| Technical purpose of product | Waterproofing of concrete structures |
| Manufacturing or service provision description | The manufacturing process of HyDra FB membrane 3080 PLUS product mainly includes: The raw material is mixed and heated, melted and extruded through a mold, and then the mixture is calendared into a sheet to create substrate. After cooling, the thickness of the substrate is measured, and then the surface is coated with self-adhesive and a layer of side film is laid, the protective layer is formed after sand-pressing. Cut the semi-finished product to size and curl it. The finished products are packed and sent to the warehouse. |

| Technology description including background system | HyDra FB membrane 3080 PLUS is a pre-applied waterproofing membrane made of HDPE film, pressure-sensitive adhesive and a protective granular layer. The product is manufactured by mixing, extruding and laminating polymer-based raw materials, followed by cutting and packaging. Background processes for raw materials, transport and energy use are modelled with Ecoinvent 3.10. The membrane is installed directly under poured concrete and is assumed to be landfilled at end of life in accordance with the applied PCR |
| Scrap (recycled material) inputs contribution level | Less than 10% of the GWP-GHG results in modules A1-A3 come from scrap inputs |
Data quality assessment
| Description of data quality assessment and reference years | The data quality assessment follows EN 15804+A2 and PCR 2019:14. Primary data for the manufacturing stage (A3) were collected for the reference year 2024, based on actual annual production data from the factory. Primary data for packaging materials originate from 2025. Secondary datasets were taken from the Ecoinvent 3.10 database (reference years 2013–2023), which meet the time representativeness requirements of the PCR. |

| Description of the default scenario | This default scenario includes transport to the construction site (A4), installation (A5), and end-of-life processes (C1–C4). Transport is modelled using 250 km truck transport (EURO 6). Installation assumes 1.5% product waste and no auxiliary materials. End-of-life assumes manual deconstruction, 50 km waste transport, sorting according to EU-average treatment and 100% landfilling of the membrane. |

Furthermore, a manual vibrator shall be used to vibrate the poured concrete to ensure its uniformity and compaction. No additional fastening materials such as glue, adhesives, or mechanical fixation are needed for the installation. The impacts related to packaging disposal have been included in the installation phase. Waste packaging materials should be prioritized for disposal through local waste management authorities to align with actual national conditions. |
