SKF BB1-7457, bearing for vaccum pump
SKF bearings for vacuum pump applications are engineered with high-hardness silicon nitride rolling elements. These advanced ceramic components have a self-repairing effect on raceway indentations, limiting the expansion of dents and thereby reducing the impact of external particulate contamination. In additionally, the bearings exhibit excellent resistance to humid environments and corrosive media commonly found in semiconductor processes. The silicon nitride rolling elements are insulating, capable of blocking electric current through the motor shaft, making them an ideal solution for preventing bearing electrical corrosion. The extremely low thermal expansion coefficient of silicon nitride contributes to the ceramic rolling elements maintaining dimensional stability even at high temperatures. Meanwhile, SKF’s specialized heat treatment process ensures that the thermal deformation of the inner and outer rings remains minimal and stable, allowing the bearings to operate reliably for extended periods at temperatures up to 200 °C.
