Precast concrete products for heavy façades

Reinforced concrete panels (UNE-EN 14992): Precast panel, usually made of reinforced concrete, which is used as a cladding element on building façades. They can have multiple compositions. The visual aspect enhances the stone tone of the concrete, diminishing the importance of the cement colour and highlighting that of the aggregate. Among the most common textures to improve the final aesthetics of architectural concrete panel façades, we highlight the following: smooth or polished, textured, sandblasted and others based on glazes, paints or surface protection products or with mechanical treatments that remove the mortar and break the coarse aggregate, achieving a texture of exposed aggregate. Pigments or dyes, cements, even subsequent painting, are also usually applied to achieve the expected effect. Or products that improve the performance of the elements seen, such as photocatalytic cements, which achieve self-cleaning of the same to preserve the initial finish of the façade for as long as possible (self-cleaning effect) and even helping to decontaminate the external environment (decontaminating effect).

Other elements for heavy façades : Any other precast concrete element used for the design and construction of heavy façades, which does not fall within the above definition.
