SoilWeb® Geocells

SoilWeb® geocells are a three-dimensional, spatial geosynthetic product. They are manufactured in different heights and dimensions (cell diameter) to be used for different applications.

Geocells consist of individual, perforated, and textured strips (HD-PE) welded together using ultrasonic. The units are delivered bundled and are pre-stressed during installation to form their honeycomb structure. The individual cells prevent lateral deformation of the inserted filling material. They act like a kind of container. This mechanism is also known as cellular confinement and leads to both stabilization and reinforcement. Typical applications for Soilweb® geocells: load support, slope stabilization/erosion control and retaining walls. SoilWeb® geocells are used in both temporary (< 5 years) and permanent construction projects (> 25 years).
