LINEAR RETRACTING DIFFUSERS IN PVC WITH INSULATED PLENUM

The products included in the EPD are part of the PROJECT WIND line, which includes a wide range of accessories for ventilation, air conditioning and air exchange, manufactured at the plants in via dell'Industria 2/4 – Plant 1 and via Caduti del Lavoro 7 – Plant 2, in Vittorio Veneto (TV). The anti-condensate linear retracting PVC diffusers of the PROJECT WIND line by Tecnosystemi, complete with insulated plenum, are available in four main types that differ in the presence and type of air flow regulation elements:

• Linear retracting intake diffuser in anti-condensate PVC with insulated plenum

• Linear retracting diffuser in anti-condensate PVC with damper and insulated plenum

• Linear retracting diffuser in anti-condensate PVC with damper, insulated plenum and side baffles

• Linear retracting diffuser in anti-condensate PVC with damper, insulated plenum and central baffle.

The linear retracting diffuser in PVC with insulated plenum is composed of a coordinated set of parts that together shape its form and function: the side members are the structural PVC profiles that form the body and mounting envelope in the false ceiling or wall, housing side baffles for directing lateral flow and a central pendulum-style baffle to control the front throw or exploit the Coandă effect; PVC lateral caps close and insulate the ends to preserve the concealed aesthetic; small PVC bridges act as joiners and supports, holding the baffles, containing their rotation pins and providing hook protection during assembly; sliding PVC dampers allow fine calibration of airflow to balance the system; the plenum is a galvanized steel sheet container that receives ducted air and evens its distribution to the diffuser, while an external closed-cell polyethylene insulation layer minimizes thermal losses and prevents surface condensation on the plenum; circular PVC collars provide airtight connections to the ductwork; stainless steel screws secure the PVC diffuser to the plenum and perform structural fastening; and galvanized steel plates serve as brackets to fix the entire assembly to the supporting structure.
