Terrazzo Tiles Series

The EPD hereby refers to a cement-based tile for interiors, made of a mixture of marble granules or chips, mineral powders, cement, water, and natural pigments. 

The product is available in different finishes, pre-polished and matte (to be polished on-site) and requires a protective treatment after installation.

This production process, especially regarding the decorations, remains tied to traditional methods, exclusively handcrafted using the ancient techniques of "divisionale" and "mestolino" The solid colour double-layer tiles are now typically produced with a rotary press. The single-layer tiles are also produced industrially. 

Terrazzo tiles offer good flexural strength, making them robust and suitable for various uses. They have anti-slip characteristics both in the fine polished version, intended for interior environments, and in the textured version, which is better suited for surfaces requiring greater grip. Additionally, they are fire-resistant, ensuring safety and versatility for different applications (UNI EN 13748-1:2005 compliant). 

The Terrazzo tiles are made in different sizes, shapes and weights; in squares from 10cm x 10cm x 1,2cm (surface weight 20kg/m2) to 60cm x 60cm x 2cm (surface weight 50kg/m2), in hexagon (side up to 14,4cm and surface weight 30kg/m2 ) up to special customized sizes 

The choses product to be representative for all product line is: 

 a terrazzo tile from the FRAGMENTA collection art.302 occhialino variegato, size 40 × 40 × 2 cm. Because it was the best-selling product in 2024 in terms of economic value.
