Product Variants and Applications

This EPD includes two products—ZULFI SR ER100S-G and ZULFI SW ER100S-G.

• ZULFI SR ER100S-G (Solid Rod): is classified under AWS A5.28 ER100S-G. It is formulated with a high concentration of manganese and silicon deoxidizers, making it well-suited for welding on surfaces that may be dirty, rusty, or covered with mill scale. This rod is ideal for manual and structural welding of low-alloy steels with tensile strengths ranging from 690 to 720 MPa. It is commonly used in the fabrication of heavy trucks, industrial boilers, pressure vessels, and various types of engineering and construction machinery.

• ZULFI SW ER100S-G (Copper-coated Wire): is classified under AWS A5.28 ER100S-G. It features precision layer winding and provides smooth, consistent wire feeding, making it ideal for robotic and high-speed welding applications. The wire performs effectively with both CO₂ and ArCO₂ shielding gases and is suitable for out-of-position welding. It is also optimized for short-circuiting transfer, enhancing performance in automated welding processes.

Of all the aforementioned product variations, E11018M has the highest environmental impacts due to a slightly higher composition of Manganese and Nickle. This is an EPD of multiple products, based on the worst-case results.
