Binary brass alloy is a simple alloy composed mainly of copper and zinc, with no other additional elements. This combination provides good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, whilecmaintaining very good machinability. Binary brass is used for the production of semi-finished products such as bars and wires, which are particularly suitable for processes such as drawing and extrusion for general applications, where no additional specific characteristics are required.
