Double-glazed insulating glass unit (IGU)
A double-glazed IGU comprises two glass panes separated by a spacer frame, hermetically sealed along the perimeter. The cavity between the panes is filled with argon gas to enhance thermal insulation. The unit incorporates both primary and secondary sealants along with a spacer bar to ensure durability and airtightness.
Design parameters (dimensions, glass type, and performance characteristics) are determined through calculation and tailored to the specific application. Dimensional configurations of double-glazed units are fully customizable to meet a wide range of architectural and performance requirements.
