Warm asphalt mixtures AC A (binder) with RA and AC P (base) with RA from UAB “Šiaulių plentas“

Asphalt plant of UAB „Šiaulių plentas“ produces and sells asphalt mixtures for a variety of different purposes, ranging from highways, roads and city streets to industrial pavements.

This EPD is for 6 types of asphalt mixtures produced by asphalt plant of UAB „Šiaulių plentas“. The declared asphalt mixtures produced at the asphalt plant are intended to be used as a binder and base layers of the pavement. Asphalt mixtures can be used in all types of applications, such as high-speed roads, airfields, industrial plants, ports, streets and cycle paths. The products consist of a mixture of dolomite rock aggregates, penetration bitumen, and additives. The amount of each component varies depending on the asphalt mixture.

Since asphalt mixtures comprise valuable resources and are recyclable, asphalt mixtures can be reused into new asphalt mixtures. Accordingly, reclaimed asphalt is normally added to the asphalt mixture, replacing virgin aggregate and virgin bitumen. The share of reclaimed asphalt in the declared asphalt mixtures varies between 0–13 weight percent
