AIS Offline Coated Glass
Offline Coated Glass also called as Soft-Coated Glass refers to high-performance glazing glass manufactured using advanced coating technologies. These coatings are applied to the glass surface after the initial production process, enhancing the glass's thermal insulation and solar control properties. Offline Coated Glass generally adopts a vacuum magnetron sputtering coating process to coat a multi-layer composite film on the glass surface to make it high performance glass.
The glass is meant to be used in building facades and industrial applications. A combination of thin multiple metal oxide layers is applied to float glass using a magnetically enhance cathodic sputtering process under vacuum conditions. Depending on the composition of these transparent coating layers, several different products can be produced, distinguishable by the thermal performance, spectrophotometric values and processing characteristics. Soft coating can be applied on both clear and tinted float glass.
