Fjärrvärme för Västerås-nätet
District heating is mainly produced at the cogeneration plant in Västerås, where societal residues such as household and operational waste, forest residues, and recycled wood are used as primary fuels. In addition to base production at the cogeneration plant, there are peak and reserve facilities at various locations in the district heating network. Both biogenic and fossil oils are used in these facilities. At the heat pump plant, heat from the city's wastewater is recovered and contributes to heating customers' homes and premises.
