"Hynds is the leading manufacturer of reinforced concrete products in Aotearoa New Zealand. Hynds’ products are available in a wide range of diameters and strength classes. Hynds reinforced concrete products are manufactured using high strength concrete (50 MPa or greater) and hard drawn steel wire. The concrete consists of coarse and fine aggregates, cement, supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) and chemical admixtures. The products included under this classification are concrete-spun pipes, culverts, manholes, and box covers. 

There are 1 419 individual pipe, manhole, boxed culvert, and general pre-cast concrete products made at the Pōkeno plant and 1 002 individual pipe, manhole, boxed culvert, and general pre-cast concrete products made at the Christchurch plant. These are grouped into 22 product groups (11 at each facility) and each group’s result is declared for a representative product. Representative products are selected as the product closest to or matching the sales-weighted average product result using GWP-GHG indicator. "
