Melpap® 52 – melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin for glass veil
Melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin is obtained by reacting urea and melamine with formaldehyde in a variable pH environment in the presence of reaction catalysts based on amine and organic acid. The production of the resin is a multi-stage process with a variable temperature-time profile, a specific molar ratio of substrates, and different pH values at each stage of production. The resulting product can be cured at elevated temperatures with the addition of a polycondensation catalyst and is used as a binder in the production of glass fiber. Product intended for professional use only.
