Silekol® 229 - urea-formaldehyde resin for glass veil

Urea-formaldehyde resins are obtained by reacting urea with formaldehyde in a variable pH environment in the presence of reaction catalysts based on amines and inorganic acids. The production of resins is a multi-stage process with a variable temperature-time profile, a specific molar ratio of substrates, and different pH values at each stage of production. The resulting product can be cured at elevated temperatures with the addition of a polycondensation catalyst and is used in the production of glass veil.
