Formaldehyde-phenol resin for watherproof plywood (type Resil 1XXX)
Phenol-formaldehyde resins obtained by the reaction of phenol with formaldehyde in a strongly alkaline medium. Resin production is a multi-step process with a variable temperature-time profile, different molar ratios of substrates and catalyst. Alkali metal hydroxides are most commonly used as catalysts. The final product has a relatively high viscosity, is thermosetting and is primarily used as a binder in the production of waterproof plywood.Resins are used in the production of wood-based panels, plywood and LVL, insulation materials, friction materials, construction materials, decorative papers, and in the foundry industry. Product intended for professional use only.
