Class D Bolted Access Covers

Sika Technology (Sika) produces aluminium access covers and chambers, that are used for underground utility networks in telecommunications, electrical, and water sectors for cable pulling, jointing, turning and equipment housing. The access covers and chambers are intended to work together as a package. The chambers are modular and supplied flat-packed. Each component is made from marine-grade, corrosion-resistant aluminium, allowing a single person to rapidly assemble a chamber on site. The modular nature of Sika’s chambers also allows them to be easily installed inside the excavated pit, around existing services. Sika products are cast from post-consumer recycled aluminium ingots sourced locally from a local aluminium supplier in Auckland (New Zealand). The aluminium is then die casted or sand moulded into the shape of the chambers and covers.
