Polycarboxylate Ether

Polycarboxylate Ether is a concrete admixture, which is the substance added to improve the performance of concrete before or during the mixing process. The dosage of concrete admixtures is generally not greater than 5% of the cement mass.

The products are classified according to their specific properties when combined with concrete mixes. Specifically, W888 is a high water-reducing admixture, the remaining products have the role of maintaining the slump of the concrete mixture. G300 and G400 help maintain slump for a long time but use less water than other products. G300 and G400 will be similar in properties, but there are differences in the original materials. HR70S is an additive that helps maintain a higher slump than G300 and G400, however, the amount of water used for HR70S will be higher than G300 or G400.

HR70S is chosen as the reference product for this study because it has the highest environmental impact referring to GWP-Total.
