System Membrane

System Membrane is a built-in 1-layer waterproofing bitumen membrane system. It is installed in terraces, exterior floors, parking decks, etc. to protect underlying structures from moisture and chemical substances. Built-in waterproofing often has to withstand traffic loads, substrate movements and large temperature variations. Replacing defective waterproofing is costly, which is why high demands are placed on these materials. Membranes, which are available in several designs, are of high quality and have a long service life.

Icopal Membrane 5BRO

Icopal Membrane 5BRO (YEP 6500) is a built-in 1-layer waterproofing bitumen membrane. It is used as damp proofing in bridges and parking decks in particular. The material works very well even when asphalt mastic is included in the covering structure. With Membrane 5BRO, which meets the Swedish Transport Administration's strict requirements for waterproofing in bridges, you get a safe and secure solution with a long service life.

Icopal Membrane 5BRO is built around a polyester/glass reinforcement, impregnated and coated with SBS-modified bitumen on both sides. Installation remains elastic even at very low temperatures. The top side is covered with sand and has two longitudinal yellow marking lines for the overlay, placed 10 cm in from the edge. The bottom side is coated with an easy-to-melt polypropylene foil and is grooved to ensure fast and efficient welding. The product meets the requirements of AMA Anläggning JB.1 and JBE.1.

The product can be installed on all normally occurring surfaces. It must be mounted by full welding or by loose laying and joint welding.
