Recomposed Quartz

The present Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) refers to a recomposed product based on quartz produced by Stone Italiana. The production process includes the mixing of aggregates of different granulometry with organic pigments and polyester resin (about 8%-11%).

This EPD covers twelve families of recomposed quartz products.

Family 1 includes products characterized by the presence of quartz, cristobalite, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. Family 3 includes products characterized by the presence of fine-grain quartz, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. Family 4 includes products characterized by the presence of medium-grain quartz, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm and 2 cm thicknesses. Family 5 includes products characterized by the presence of coarse-grain quartz, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm and 2 cm thicknesses. Family 6 includes products characterized by the presence of quartz, silica sands, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm and 2 cm thicknesses. Family 7 includes products characterized by the presence of quartz, mirror glass, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm and 2 cm thicknesses. Family 8 includes products characterized by the presence of quartz, mother-of-pearl, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm and 2 cm thicknesses. Family 9 includes products characterized by the presence of quartz, recycled recomposed quartz granulates, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm, 1,3 cm and 2 cm thicknesses. Family 10 includes veined products characterized by the presence of quartz, resin, pigments and additives, available in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses. Family 11 includes products characterized by the presence of quartz, recycled street sweeping debris, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm thickness. Family 12 includes products characterized by the presence of marble, resin, pigments and additives, available in 1 cm thickness.

Recomposed quartz products can be produced and sold in different thicknesses. This EPD refers to an average thickness. Slabs are packed in wooden or steel A-frame trestles, each containing six to fifteen slabs, depending on the thickness (data refers to wooden trestles).
