W30 HH Rail Fastening System
Our System W 30 HH is a highly elastic fastening for ballasted track with concrete sleepers in the heavy haul segment. The popular combination of ballasted track and concrete sleepers is the domain of our System W 30. While the sleeper shoulders provide stability for the track and the fastening system, the flexible ballast layer transmits the vertical forces into the substructure. Stable rail deflection ensures that fewer vibrations are generated. The components assembled especially for System W 30 function reliably, with minimal wear and hardly any need for maintenance. Thanks to their high toe load, dynamic fatigue strength and high rail creep resistance, they ensure a safe ride every time – even under extreme weather conditions and in high atmospheric humidity. The W30 HH rail fastening system consists of five different components, sleeper screw, tension clamp, angled guide plate, rail pad and plastic dowel. For the rail pads, one could use two different variants; Rail pad Zw 139/175/7 or Rail pad Zw 148/175/7 which weighs a little more than the other. The geometry, and therefore, the weight of the angled guide plate can vary. The same applies to the rail pad, which can also be made of a different material. In this study, a limitation has been made to study one variant of the angled guide plate and one geometry for the rail pad.
