Crossville's® Carbon Neutral porcelain tile is made in the United States, reflecting the beauty and serenity of the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee where we're headquartered. Carbon Neutral porcelain tile is porcelain tile that has been made with either zero carbon emissions, or whose associated carbon emissions have been offset with carbon credits. We do not purchase credits just to offset the embodied carbon associated with manufacturing. Crossville® goes further than many other manufacturers who practice "cradle to site" or "cradle to gate" carbon reduction. We purchase credits that offset the embodied carbon of our tiles through the entire product lifecycle. By taking into account the carbon footprint of our tiles from inception through demolition and destruction, our "cradle to grave" carbon credits do more for the environment.

This EPD is based on a PCR that satisfies procurement rules at the federal, state, and municipal levels which call for EPDs based on the UL Part B PCR. The ULPart B PCR was used to meet regulatory (example: Buy Clean California Act, etc.) and market expectations (example: Building Transparency EC3 comparisons, LEED and existing vendor procurement requirements, product scoring programs, etc.). The EPD should not be used outside of this context.

Not all requirements in the GPI are fulfilled, particularly the requirement, for construction products, to follow EN 15804 for certain aspects of the LCA method.
