3S TeraSlate® PV Roof with glass-backsheet photovoltaic modules

The TeraSlate® roof system from 3S Swiss Solar Solutions is a well-designed, high-quality BIPV solution. Main component are high-performance, frameless, aesthetically designed solar modules. The modules made of 5 mm glass panes and embedded cells are produced in Switzerland using 100% renewable electricity and in accordance with the requirements of the Swiss Label.

The 3S solar roof can be installed as a full or partial roof covering and fits on any roof with a slope of 10° and more. The system efficiently replaces conventional roofing materials. It has been successfully tested for increased wind, snow and ice loads and offers optimal weather protection. The 3S solar roof meets the highest hail resistance class (HW 5) and fire class 13501-5 BRoof T1. The simple design with few core components (water drainage channel and hooks) offers maximum performance thanks to the optimized ventilation behind all modules. Easy-to-implement design variations for applications in alpine regions extend the range of applications.

With four easily combinable module sizes, maximum use can be made of the roof area; 3S also produces colored variants as well as customized CREA modules for residual areas or specific architectural requirements. This EPD refers to the standard module size L. The conversion factors in this EPD enable the calculation for the other standard module sizes Q, M and S.
