PanelPlus® FAH – Sandwich Panels
The FAH is a structural and very lightweight panel. It is composed of an aluminum honeycomb core and it’s externally coated with two fiberglass skins that are impregnated with a high-grade structural epoxy adhesive. The surface finish is rough and uniform, which is indicated for applications where high mechanical performance is required.
The panel is used as a support for natural stone, ceramic or aesthetic cements that are intended for external or internal claddings, such as ventilated facades, wall coverings and floors. The epoxy adhesive is applied through a thermosetting process, therefore granting the panel excellent characteristics of flatness and dimensional stability. This dimensional stability is very important when the panel is laminated with natural stone or ceramic because the adhesive layer used to glue the panel to the stone or ceramic will not suffer any dimensional stress.
Furthermore, it will grant the laminated panel exceptional and constant adhesion, especially over time.
