The representative product is the OS2 ZM profile, made of galvanized steel and represents the best-selling product in the Secco Sistemi S.p.a. product range. Each profile is produced in bars of 6 linear meters in length with an average weight of 22.5 kg.

The galvanized steel used by Secco Sistemi for the production of its profiles is composed of a ternary alloy (Zn- 3% Mg- 2.5% Al) with high resistance to corrosion, to protect both the external and internal surface of the profile from oxidation. The subsequent skin-passing of the zinc layer determines an ideal finish to guarantee the best adhesion of the paint.

The variants of the representative product are made in stainless steel, Corten steel, and brass. Secco Sistemi specifically uses two types of stainless steel: AISI 304 – more commonly used, with a satin finish – and AISI 316L – suitable for marine environments, available in scotch brite, polished, or burnished finishes.

Corten steels, on the other hand, are special alloys with copper, chromium, and phosphorus, with self-passivating properties due to a surface patina that prevents the spread of corrosion. The natural oxidation process can be accelerated through specific oxidizing treatments.

Regarding brass, Secco Sistemi uses the OT67 alloy, in which the high copper content (67%) provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the zinc (33%) improves mechanical properties, such as hardness and tensile strength."
